These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Coffee Chat (the "Service"), operated by FairCorp. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Coffee Chat is a free service that helps students and early-career professionals ("students") connect with working professionals ("mentors") for short career conversations. It provides profiles, mentor search and matching, and direct in-app messaging. Coffee Chat is not a formal mentorship program, an employment or placement service, or a source of professional advice.
You may use the Service only if you are at least 16 years old and can form a binding agreement under applicable law. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
When you sign up you select a role (student or mentor). You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your profile honest and current. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for activity that happens through your account. If you believe your account has been used without your permission, contact us at faircorp.info@gmail.com. We may reject or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

For your safety, messages that appear to contain phone numbers or payment requests are automatically screened before they are sent. Please keep sensitive personal details off the Service until you are comfortable, and never send money through Coffee Chat.
You keep whatever rights you have in the content you submit, including your profile text and messages. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to host, store, and display that content as needed to provide the Service — for example, to show your profile to other users and to deliver your messages. You are responsible for the content you submit.

You can report a user or message from within the app. Our team reviews reports and may warn, suspend, or ban accounts.
Messages are screened automatically against our community guidelines before they are delivered. You can report a user, conversation, or message from within the app (reasons include inappropriate content, harassment or bullying, spam or scam, and safety concerns). Our team reviews reports and may warn, suspend, or ban accounts, or remove content that violates these Terms or our guidelines. We are not obligated to monitor the Service, but we may do so to keep it safe.
You can block other users. If you block someone, they will not be able to message you.
Mentors share their own experience and opinions. Content on the Service is provided for informational purposes only and is not professional, legal, financial, medical, or career-counseling advice. You are responsible for the decisions you make.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Mentors are independent users, not our employees or agents, and we are not responsible for their conduct or statements.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FairCorp and its operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
You may stop using the Service at any time. You can close and permanently delete your account yourself from the Account section of your profile page (choose Delete account) — deletion removes your profile, messages, and other account data and cannot be undone. For legal documentation purposes, we retain only a minimal record of closed or deleted accounts (your name and email address), which cannot be used to sign in. You may also ask us to close your account by contacting faircorp.info@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service — including your account — if you violate these Terms, if we believe your conduct harms the Service or other users, or as otherwise required by law. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the United States.
